Washcloth Cover

When giving your son a bath, be prepared with two washcloths. Use one to wash, use the other to cover him so you don't get your own shower.

Cereal is Your Friend

Our doctor told us to feed our son cereal early on to help him sleep.  Right around the 6 week mark he was sleeping through the night.  Can't argue with those results. 

Use a Diaper Underneath

When changing a diaper, put a clean one underneath to make it a smooth and easy transition. Or in case the yogurt machine suddenly dispenses again.

Potty Time is Fun Time

Toilet training is a challenge even in the best of circumstances.  One of the keys is to keep your child sitting on the toilet and entertain him or her.  You should have some books, toys and a repertoire of funny songs and faces to keep your child sitting on the throne.

Do a Test Open

If your child is a boy, do a quick open before changing the diaper then close it and wait a few seconds. Now you should be able to open it without fear of getting rained on.
