Cars Put Children to Sleep - What a Myth!

Everyone has heard of the trick - put your child in the car and drive around if they cannot sleep. Generally the children will fall asleep right away and it will be the parents who are now wide awake.  This is the complete opposite in our home.  The second our son is buckled in to his car seat he screams bloody murder.  So much so that I keep looking over my shoulder for child services.  Yes, eventually he does fall asleep.  But that is long after mommy and/or daddy have pounding headaches and wore through what little patience we had.  Clearly this is not a trick we use at night.  This is just our chosen method of torture to bring our son to the supermarket, activities, and any where else we want to arrive with the headache to end all headaches.
