The Family Dynamic

In my last post I talked about a child being a game changer.  One of the changes is the family dynamic.  Mom and Dad have no more "alone time."  Mom and Dad cannot just go out and run around for the day without planning it all out and being fully prepared with all of your child's necessities (food, diapers, bottles, etc.).  This dynamic shifts even more when you have a family pet, especially one like ours who was used to receiving all of the attention.  We trained her well so she is not a danger to our son, but we were not sure how they would get along.  After some time has gone by and they have figured each other out a bit more, they get along quite well.  She protects him.  She checks on him.  And her favorite of all, she gives him wet dog kisses which make him giggle uncontrollably.
